Start your Barcelona hiking with a 1.5-hour drive in a comfortable air-conditioned minivan, before you arrive at La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park. Take an easy hike and visit Castellfollit de la Roca, one of the most scenic medieval villages in Catalonia dramatically perched atop a cliffside at the meeting point of two rivers.

Continue your Barcelona hiking to Sant Joan Les Fonts to visit the romanesque church and medieval bridge from the XII century. Then hike across old paths following 3 lava flows that have shaped the landscape of this region. Follow your guide and learn about the rural way of life of La Garrotxa. The area is just beautiful and will put you in a zen-like mood!
