Start your Tzoumerka jeep safari with a convenient pick-up from your hotel in Ioannina and head to the mountains! Make your first stop at the fallen but still proud Bridge of Plaka, a really historic monument with a really long history behind it. After having coffee, drive through Katarraktis Village where and admire the twin waterfalls, exceptionally strong during the spring.

Continue to Voulgareli Village for a small traditional drink before start ascending to Theodoriana Village at the foot of the Kostilata the southern summit of Tzoumerka. Explore the village and then climb up higher on a dirt road to the Souda waterfalls.

Leave the car and start hiking for about 30 minutes to reach an incredible natural site, dominated by waterfalls that give the southern part of Tzoumerka a splendid touch. Explore the area and relax with the sound of the water. Those who feel brave can enjoy a dip into the cold waters.

Climb to the mountain to see the Alpin meadows. Herds of sheep and goats are grazing on these slopes during the summer months. After two hours of an incredible alpine journey, you will arrive at Melissourgous Village, and from there in a few kilometers stop at Pramanta Village for a delicious lunch that only the Tzoumerkans know how to cook.

There will be enough time for a hike to the mountain refuge in the beautiful forest under Strongoula and the waterfalls of Kefalovrysos on the northern summit of Tzoumerka. There you can visit the Monastery of Agia Paraskevi and the cave of Katsantonis before we make our way back to Ioannina.
