Overview

Set at an altitude of 1,300 meters, in the area of Isioma, within mountain ranges, the year-round Mountain Shelter Pramanton offers accommodation with views over the fir-covered mountains of Tzoumerka. It features a restaurant and a living area with a fireplace and cable TV.

The Mountain Shelter offers accommodation in three mixed dormitories, two of them with eight beds and one with ten beds, which come with a shared bathroom. Guests are offered toiletries and slippers, while blankets and pillows are also provided free of charge.

The on-site restaurant prepares regional home-cooked specialties upon request. Continental breakfast is served in the morning.

Mountain Shelter Pramanton is the ideal base for a whole range of outdoor activities including hiking and trekking experiences to the numerous trails available in the area, one of which ends up to the very top of the mountain Stoggoula. During winter ice-climbing is a popular activity that attracts many visitors, as well as mountain biking in the lush mountain forests. Finally, guests can try more adventurous activities like rafting in the Arahthos river or a Jeep Safari tour. Upon request, management can arrange for one or more of these activities during your stay in the Shelter

The village of Pramanta is 5 km away from Mountain Shelter Pramanton, while the town of Ioannina is at 65 km. Guests can also visit the nearby villages of Melissourgoi and Katarraktis. Places recommended for visiting are the traditional settlements of Syrrakoand Kalarytes as well as the impressive cave Anemotrypa in the village of Pramada.
