Dryades Villa is a traditional and tastefully decorated property near Rethymno, offering a unique staying experience. Enjoy the charming property and a wealth of activities that will give you a real taste of Cretan rural culture and its stunning environment.
About the property
Dryades villa is a traditional stone house, built in 1930, fully reconstructed in 1993 offering split-level accommodation. The villa is 205 sqm and is located in 1000 sqm of land.The villa is charmingly decorated with Cretan furniture, antiques, textiles, embroidery, handmade white linen with ‘’atrantedes’’ knitted by hand, all made by the ancestors of the owner, giving you a feeling of luxury and authenticity. The villa reflects the feeling of love and care of the owners for anything authentic.
Featuring four separate bedrooms and three living rooms, Villa Dryades has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, fireplace, and 2 bathrooms. Facilities include a TV, DVD player, dishwasher, washing machine, and hairdryer. It can accommodate up to ten guests.
The thick stone walls and tiles on the roof of the Villa, during the summer months, help to maintain the freshness indoors to such an extent so as to make the use of air condition unnecessary. The house is suitable for all seasons, as a central heating system and a modern fireplace are in place.
The Villa features two large patios, in one of which there is a built oven with a dining table and a lounge with a retractable sunshade over it. On the side of the Villa there is a garden, split into two levels with beautiful flowers, herbs, vegetables, orange and lemon trees. The second patio in front of the entrance to the house is surrounded by a variety of flowers, and in one corner there is a traditional wine press to press grapes with a pergola over it.
In the western part of the villa, there is a large terrace overlooking the pool. Here you can enjoy your breakfast or lunch under the shade offered by the wooden pergola across the terrace.

◾ Take care and taste seasonal vegetables in the vegetable garden of the villa under the guidance of the owner.◾ Participate in the harvesting and pressing of grapes in late August and early September as well as in the production of traditional raki in late October or early in November.
◾ Engage in picking olives on our property during November and December months.
◾ Visit the family estate of 12 acres with vineyards, olive trees, and various fruit trees, from which you can try various fruits free of charge.
◾ Tours and activities organized by third parties are available nearby. Please ask your host for information and guidance.

◾ Swim at Plakias amazing beaches, Ammoudi, Damnoni and Schinaria at the south of the island, about half an hour from the villa.
