Meet your instructor at Lake Placid, Just 20 minutes from central Cairns and 40 minutes from Port Douglas, and get ready for your Barron River rafting experience. Marvel at the area’s scenic beauty and enjoy a mixture of peaceful floating and more exciting action.

During your Barron River rafting, you will be navigating rapids up to grade three as the river winds its way down from the mountains toward the Coral Sea. Barron River rafting requires no previous experience, which makes it ideal for first-timers.

Good to know - practical information

◾ Please note that $30 per person Raft Levy is payable to Foaming Fury on the day of activity
◾ Wear a swimming costume under your clothes
◾ You must wear shoes - reef sandals, sneakers or anything with an ankle strap is suitable.
◾ Bring a towel and a spare change of clothes
◾ Leave all of your jewelry at your accommodation
◾ Hire shoes are available for $5/pair if you do not wish to get your own shoes wet
◾ If you self-drive please meet at 100, Lake Placid Road at 2:30 pm
