Description - What to expect

Your Tromso snowmobiling starts with a pick-up at Samuel Arnesens gate 7, and then a 90-minute drive through the spectacular arctic landscape until you reach Camp Tamok which is the start and endpoint of your adventure.

Upon arrival at Camp Tamok, you will be warmly greeted by your guide and outfitted with all the necessary gear and clothing, including a thermal suit, boots, gloves and helmet. Our expert guides will provide thorough safety instructions on how to drive a snowmobile, ensuring everyone feels confident and safe before heading out on the Tromso snowmobiling tour.

Follow your tour guide and navigate along snowy trails. Although this Tromso snowmobiling tour does not focus on chasing the northern lights, as we will venture into total darkness, we might get lucky and witness them while being out on the tour, adding an extra touch of magic to this evening adventure.

You will share a snowmobile with another person, taking turns as the driver and passenger. Halfway through the tour, we’ll have a short break where you'll swap places, ensuring both of you have the chance to drive the snowmobile.

After the Tromso snowmobiling tour, you will return to the camp, where a warm meal awaits in one of our traditional lavvus (indigenous Sámi tent). With food and drinks served, and gathered around the open fire, you will get the chance to relax and share stories of your recent adventures.

During peak season, we might split the group to avoid large groups. Half of the group will start with a warm meal in the lavvu before heading out on their snowmobile tour. With everyone returning to the camp, it’s time to board the bus and return to Tromsø, taking with you great memories of your adventurous evening in the Arctic wilderness.
