Description - What to expect
The Gondola at Stranda Ski Resort takes you on a spectacular trip from the valley up to the top station. From here you will enjoy panoramic views over the snow-covered mountains and the glowing fjord. Meet your guide outside the ski rental to get kitted up with snowshoes and poles that you need for the trip. Snowshoes will give us the feeling of floating on the snow and provide great stability to conquer the snow-filled mountains around Stranda. They also work well on icy snow and give a great grip on hard conditions.From the top of the gondola hike up to the viewpoint of Roaldshorn 1230 masl. From here admire fantastic views out to the Atlantic Ocean and Ålesund, and south towards Lodalskåpa 2083 masl, the highest Nunatak on the Jostedal glacier. Enjoy the spectacular views before you descend and stop by the Fjord Panorama Restaurant for a short break.
