Description - What to expect

Your Tromso snowmobile tour starts with a pick-up outside Magic Ice Bar, and then a 75-minute drive through the spectacular arctic landscape until you reach Camp Tamok which is the start and endpoint of your adventure. Upon arrival, we provide you with all the warm clothes and boots necessary. Your adventure begins with a thorough safety introduction and a practical demonstration of riding a snowmobile. You do not need any previous skills to drive a snowmobile. All you need is a good physical condition.

You will be driving in pairs, one driver and one passenger on each snowmobile, with the opportunity to switch places during the trip. We will embark on a tour that will bring you past scenic mountains and through the dramatic snow-covered Finndalen valley, starting at 250 m above sea level and climbing up to 900 m. The distance of the trail is 15 km each way, 30 km in total. You will be on the snowmobile for approximately 2.0 to2.5 hours.

Due to the dramatic topography, a reduced speed is maintained during parts of the trip. The top point of the trail is the ice-covered Finnvatnet lake, where you can relax and admire the scenery of Finndalen. At the end of the trip, you will be served a hot meal and coffee by the open fire in a cozy dining lavvu (Sami tent).

Hard to choose between the daytime and evening trip? Daytime trips give you an amazing view of the untamed mountains of the Tamokdalen valley, while the evening trips give you a good opportunity to experience the Northern Lights.
